A Lifeline for Traditional Artisans
The Central Government has launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana to provide financial and technical support to 18 types of traditional artisans (e.g., carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, tailors, potters) in India.
Key Benefits

Training and Stipend: Artisans receive 5 to 15 days of free skill training. During this period, a daily stipend of ₹500 is provided.

Toolkit Assistance: After training completion, an e-voucher of ₹15,000 is provided for purchasing required tools.

Low-Interest Loans: For business expansion: ₹1 lakh in the first phase and ₹2 lakh in the second phase, at only 5% interest rate (collateral-free).
