Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance Scheme
The Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance Scheme is an important educational scheme launched by the Government of Maharashtra for students from economically weaker sections. Students pursuing professional and technical higher education receive a hostel maintenance allowance for 10 months every academic year.

Eligibility Criteria
- Indian citizen, Domicile of Maharashtra State.
- Student admitted to a Professional/Technical course (Diploma/Graduation/PG).
- Admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
- Family annual income should not exceed ₹8,00,000.
- Maximum 2 children per family can avail the benefit.
- Minimum 50% attendance in the previous session required.
- No more than 2 years gap in the course.
Exclusions
- Students of Deemed/Private Universities.
- Students already receiving other scholarships or allowances.

- HSC & SSC Mark Sheets
- Parents’ Income Certificate
- Previous Year’s Mark Sheet
- Affidavit
- Tehsildar’s Certificate — for small land-holders / Labor Registration Certificate
- Aadhaar Card
- Father’s PAN Card (mandatory)
- Student’s and Mother’s PAN Card (optional)
How to Apply
- Visit the MahaDBT Portal.
- Click “New Applicant Registration” and register.
- Login → Click “Find Eligible Scheme”.
- Select “Directorate of Medical Education Research” → “Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance”.
- Fill the form and submit.
