Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana

The “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana” is a very important scheme started by the Government of Maharashtra for the economic empowerment of women (Women Empowerment) in the state.

The main objective of this scheme is to make women financially self-reliant, improve their health and nutrition, and strengthen their role in the family.

Key Benefits

Under this scheme, eligible women receive direct financial assistance (Direct Benefit Transfer - DBT) from the government:

• Financial Assistance: Every eligible woman is provided an amount of ₹1500 (Rupees 1500 monthly) directly credited to their Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Eligibility Criteria

To benefit from this scheme, the applicant woman must fulfill the following conditions:

• Age: The age of the applicant woman must be between 21 to 65 years.
• Demographic: The applicant woman must be a resident of Maharashtra State.
• Family Income: The annual income of the applicant woman’s family should not exceed ₹2.50 lakh.
• Bank Account: It is mandatory for the applicant woman to have her own Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

• Aadhaar Card
• State Domicile Certificate / Birth Certificate / School Leaving Certificate / Voter ID Card
• Income Certificate (annual income up to ₹2.50 lakh) or Yellow/Orange Ration Card
• Xerox of the first page of the bank passbook
• Passport-size photo of the applicant
• Undertaking Form

How to Apply

Women can apply through both Online and Offline methods.

1. Online Method

• Nari Shakti Doot App: Download the ‘Nari Shakti Doot’ app from the Google Play Store.
• Log in by entering your mobile number in the app.
• Click on the ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’ option and fill in all the asked information.

2. Offline Method

• Go to your Gram Panchayat office, Anganwadi Sevika center, Setu Suvidha center, or ward office.
• Individuals there will fill in your information in the online system for free.
