Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana

The “Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana” (NSMNY) is a very important scheme started by the Government of Maharashtra for the income growth of farmers. In addition to the annual ₹6,000 received from the Central Government’s PM-KISAN scheme, the State Government provides an additional ₹6,000, making a total of ₹12,000 per year for eligible farmers.

Key Benefits

  • An additional annual financial assistance of ₹6,000 from the State Government.
  • This amount is deposited directly into the bank account (DBT) in three installments of ₹2,000:
    • First Installment: April — July
    • Second Installment: August — November
    • Third Installment: December — March
  • The amount is credited via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Farmer families (Husband, wife, and minor children) who have cultivable land in their name.
  • Ownership of land is required to be as of February 1, 2019.
  • The applicant must be eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme.

Exclusions (Who is ineligible?)

  • Institutional landholders.
  • Former/current constitutional post holders, MPs, MLAs, Mayors, Chairpersons of Zilla Panchayats.
  • Government employees (except MTS/Class IV/Group-D).
  • Pensioners with a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more.
  • Income tax-paying individuals.
  • Professionals (Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, CAs, Architects).
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

  • Mutation Records (Ferfar)
  • Ration Card
  • Details of Aadhaar-linked bank account

How to Apply

  1. Register on PM-KISAN Portal: Go to the PM-KISAN Portal and register yourself.
  2. Verification by Local Administration: The application is verified by local officials.
  3. Approval Process: Taluka Nodal Officer → District Nodal Officer → State Nodal Officer.
