Stand Up India Scheme

The Government of India launched the ‘Stand Up India’ scheme to promote entrepreneurship among women and Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST). It provides accessible bank loans for setting up new enterprises with large capital requirements.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a woman (of any category) OR a male/female belonging to the SC/ST category.
  • Age must be above 18 years.
  • The business must be a Greenfield Project (a completely new enterprise in the manufacturing, services, or trading sectors).
  • In the case of a non-individual enterprise (company), at least 51% of the shareholding and controlling stake must be held by an SC/ST or woman entrepreneur.

💰 Benefits & Subsidy

  • Eligible entrepreneurs are provided with a composite bank loan (Working Capital + Term Loan) ranging from ₹10 Lakh to ₹1 Crore.
  • The loan is backed by a credit guarantee through the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Stand Up India (CGSSI).
  • The scheme covers up to 85% of the project cost, provided the borrower brings in a minimum of 15% as margin money.

  1. Online Application: You can apply directly online through the official portal at ‘standupmitra.in’.
  2. Bank Visit: Applications can also be submitted directly at the nearest nationalized bank branch or through the Lead District Manager.
  3. Documents: Detailed Project Report, proof of identity, caste certificate (if SC/ST), and necessary business licenses (e.g., Udyam Registration).
