Swarnima Scheme — For OBC Women
The Swarnima Scheme is a loan assistance scheme implemented by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. The main objective of this scheme is to provide self-employment opportunities to women from Other Backward Classes (OBC) and help them establish a stable livelihood.
Key Benefits
- Loan up to ₹5,00,000 for each Self-Help Group (SHG) project.
- Up to ₹25,000 per member (maximum 20 members per SHG).
- Interest Rate: 5% per annum (concessional rate).
- Financial Assistance: Central Corporation 95% + State Corporation 5% — Beneficiary Share 0%.
- Repayment Period: Up to 3 years.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category.
- For Women candidates only.
- Must be a Permanent Resident (Domicile) of Maharashtra state.
- Age: 18 to 50 years.
- Income Limit:
- Rural: Annual ≤ ₹98,000
- Urban: Annual ≤ ₹1,20,000

- Residential / Domicile Certificate
- Caste Certificate — by competent authority
- Income Certificate
- Proof of Age (Birth Certificate / Class 10th/12th Marksheet)

How to Apply — Offline
- Visit the district office of LIDCOM or the relevant Other Backward Class Corporation office.
- Collect the Swarnima Scheme Application.
- Fill in personal information and project details.
- Attach self-attested documents.
- Submit the application and obtain an acknowledgement receipt.
